Researchers

Mariana Curado Malta is an engineer.

She received her B.E. from the Faculty of Engineering of University of Porto in the year of 1992 and the M.Tech from École National d’Ingénieurs de Brest, France in the year of 1996. She completed her PhD from University of Minho in Information Systems and Technologies in 2014. She works since 1998 as an assistant professor at Polytechnic of Porto, Portugal, and she is a researcher at the CEOS.PP research center (Polytechnic of Porto). She also collaborates with the Algoritmi Research Center (University of Minho, Portugal) and with the Multi Agent and Distributed Computing Laboratory (National Institute of Technology – Durgapur, India), where she is working in several research projects and supervising several master and PhD students. She writes and presents on topics related to information modelling, Semantic Web, Linked Open Data in different contexts of application (Ebusiness, Social and Solidarity Economy, Literature & poetry, among others). Presently she is part of the Directory Boards of the Master degree in E-business, and of Business Information in the Business School of the Polytechnic of Porto.
